Key Words CHROMAVEIL™, Diester Quat, Hydrolysed Protein, Personal Care, Hair Care, Cosmetics Related Patents Croda Patent No US7202204 granted on 10 April 2007 relates, inter alia, to the well-known Croda product CHROMAVEIL™. This patent discloses a personal care product containing a mixture of at least one personal care ingredient and one diester quaternary ammonium compound with a pH between 4.0 and 10.0 and a viscosity between 100 and 300,000 cps. As it is cationic in nature, it is very substantive to hair, even from rinse-off systems. Its liquid form makes this ingredient easy to pump, pour and mix while the high % actives concentration makes it easy to incorporate into formulations without carrying in high concentrations of unnecessary or unwanted diluents and solvents.
