Ensemble Forecasting for determining Weather Uncertainty Equinor Energy AS Øyvind Haugsdal 1Introduction This disclosure describes a method of handling the weather uncertainty for marine operations by utilizing the ensemble weather forecast. This method is validated against the criteria listed in Offshore Standard DNV-OS-H101 section 4 B 701 and 704. In addition, the results are compared to the standard alpha factor methodology. This method has only been validated by a 2021 -2023 dataset from Gullfaks. The plan is to perform validation with several datasets on Equinor asset locations.
